TO MENTOR IS TO LEARN IS TO GROW IS TO UNDERSTAND

To understand the body, and its expression, is to access truth. Truths that define our capacities for self love, reciprocity, and conviction. Dance allows these vital seeds to be planted in one’s mind, but only time and mentorship can aid in the growth of lasting, strong roots.

Dance, performance, and creation are not just reserved for the self labeled “artist” – they are not just reserved for the studio or conservatory – but are instinctively lived in everyday by everyone. By accessing a deeply curious practice of the body, of freedom, of rhythm, of diversity, generates a sense of liberation for all humans of any age or ability. In fact, community health relies on a holistic understanding of movement, interaction, and collaboration. Such tools are deeply explored in my classroom – flowing through a harmony of individual and collective.

I am attached to dance environments where kinesthetic integrity, perspective, and spirit generates an energetic “buzz” or “ hum” that reverberates throughout the day.

I am attached to dance environments that are universally accessible. No one body is the same. No one mind is the same. No one intention is interpreted the same.

I am attached to dance environments that connect outside life experiences to movement, generating a deeply personal relationship to self.

I am attached to dance environments that instill a sense of responsibility and dedication.
You are incharge. You are capable. You are magic.

I am attached to dance environments that invigorate then decelerate. Offering sweat, breath, and stillness.
Taking up space physically and emotionally.

I am attached to dance environments that are fun – lively. Music feeds the soul.

I am committed and deeply honored to offer such a space to my students.
